Our Firm
Lena Hung is an Accredited Immigration Law Specialist with over 19 years of experience in Immigration Law, Property Conveyancing and general areas of Corporate Law with an emphasis on Start-up Businesses, Business Sponsor Immigration and Employment Law Compliance. Within Victoria, she is one of only 45 Accredited Immigration Law Specialists.
The team working at Lena Hung & Associates is an experienced team of immigration and corporate solicitors each with many years of experience and expertise. Based within the heart of the Melbourne CBD, the firm is accessible to clients looking for legal advice, guidance and assistance in both personal and business related matters.
Our firm's migration expertise extends to the training and education of Registered Migration Agents (RMAs) and Immigration Lawyers. Our firm offers OMARA approved CPDs through the associated training and education company Enriched Migration Training. The CPDs are all approved for the purposes of meeting RMA and Australian legal practitioner mandatory CPD obligations throughout each practising year.
All of our solicitors hold Australian Legal Practising Certificates and are regulated by the Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner (VLSB+C). Our lawyers are Members of the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV). We follow strict Solicitor's Conduct rules as according to the regulations and obligations pertaining to the Legal Profession Uniform Law and Uniform Rules. Principal Lawyer
Lena Hung is the Principal of Lena Hung and Associates and is an Accredited Immigration Law Specialist based in Melbourne, an LIV qualification held by only 45 solicitors in Victoria.
Lena is passionately involved in the migration and legal communities and presently holds the following positions:
- Chair of the Administrative Law and Human Rights Section of the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV)
- Committee member of the LIV's Migration Law Committee
- Committee member of the Law Council of Australia's Migration law committee
- Chair of the LIV's Accredited Specialist Immigration Law Advisory Committee
She has over 19 years of professional expertise in Immigration Law and has a wealth of experience in presenting approved CPD seminars and workshops. She is the principal facilitator and presenter for Enriched Migration Training CPD programs, an organisation which has provided CPD training to hundreds of RMAs and Lawyers.
Keat Low
Senior Associate - Lawyer
Keat Low is a Senior Associate Lawyer with 11 years of experience in migration law. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce. Keat is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) and the Asian Australian Lawyers Association (AALA).
Keat is an Officer of the High Court of Australia and is qualified to perform Federal Litigation. Keat has experience at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) and Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) as well as applications for Ministerial Intervention.
Keat’s principal area of practice is Immigration Law. She is experienced in all areas of migration law and has successfully managed family related immigration matters such as Partner, Parent, Dependent Relative, Carer and Child Visas, Student Visas, Business Visas including Sponsorship, Employer Nomination, Business Innovation and Investment, Visitor Visas, Skilled Migration Visas, Resident Return and Citizenship applications, Family violence and Visa Cancellation Issues.
Dennis Shen
Senior Associate - Lawyer
Dennis Shen is an Senior Associate Lawyer and has practiced in the area of migration for 11 years. He graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Media Communications). Dennis has experience in all immigration areas with a particular focus on Corporate and Business migration. Dennis has experience at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) and Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) as well as applications for Ministerial Intervention.
Dennis undertakes principal areas of practice in Business Migration including Business Sponsorship and Employer Nomination, Business Innovation and Investment and Business Talent, and is experienced in managing other migration matters such as General Skilled, Student visas, Partner visas, Cancellations and Citizenship, Refugee and Protection visas.
Dennis has featured as a guest presenter in a legal educational capacity for a number of institutes including Leo Cussen Centre for Law, Enriched Migration Training and Vicinity Centres.
